Hwangnyeongsan Beacon Fire Station

Hello, Hwangnyeongsan Mountain, 427 meters above sea level, is well known as one of the popular night view spots for locals who come to enjoy the beautiful night view of Busan at night because you can see the east, west, north, and south of Busan at a glance.

Hwangnyeongsan Mountain Beacon Fire Station, located at the top of Hwangnyeongsan Mountain, is a chimney-type communication facility used during the Joseon Dynasty to quickly inform the situation of the crisis when enemies appear in the distant sea. The beacon, which used to be notified by light at night and smoke during the day, is usually one, two when enemies appear in the distant sea, three when the enemy approaches the coast, four when the enemy and naval battles occur, and five when the enemy lands on land.

According to Sejong Silok Geography, Hwangnyeongsan Beacon Fire Station, which is known to have been used before 1425 in the Joseon Dynasty, was restored to its current state in 1976 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of Busan Port. On August 8, 2015, the Hwangnyeongsan Observatory Rest Area was opened just below the beacon so that you can enjoy the night view of Busan while drinking delicious coffee.
