A large civic park located in Seomyeon, Busan.

Busan Citizens’ Park in Seomyeon, the center of Busan, was officially opened on May 1, 2014 after the Busan Metropolitan Government converted the site of the former U.S. military base Hayaria Unit on January 27, 2010.

Busan Citizen Park, which boasts a fairly large site of 528,278 square meters, has a 25-meter-high tower fountain, a Busan Citizen Park History Museum, a U.S. military barracks from Japanese colonial era to the return of the U.S. military’s Hayaria unit to Busan, and many outdoor performances for children.

Busan Citizens’ Park is so spacious that it takes at least two hours to rest for Busan citizens even if you look around.
