Hello, Dongnae, which served as a military and administrative center in Busan during the Joseon Dynasty, has surprisingly many attractions and restaurants such as ancient tombs, Dongnaeeupseong Fortress, and Dongnae Market before the 6th century, centering on Dongnae-gu Office. Among them, there is Dongnae Samgyetang, a restaurant specializing in ginseng chicken soup that is constantly visited by customers, right next to Dongnae-gu Office.

If you enter the narrow alley in front of Dongnae-gu Office, about 10 minutes’ walk from Dongnae Station on Busan Metro Line 1, you will find Dongnae Samgyetang, a restaurant converted from a regular house, on your right. The front yard of the store is crowded with customers who came to eat samgyetang, so you can eat samgyetang without waiting for you to go eat a little faster. If there is a long line, you can get a waiting number from the restaurant staff and enter the store only when the number is called.

There is a shoe locker on the left side of the store’s entrance, and when you enter the store after storing your shoes, there is a counter in front of the restaurant owner. The first floor with the counter is divided into a table seat and an ondol room, and when you go up to the second floor, it consists of ondol rooms.

There are only two restaurants, Menu. There is Dongnae Samgyetang, the signature menu, and Gungjung Yakgyetang made of seven herbal medicines, including green tea, milk vetch root, danggui root, pine nut, chestnut, crumpling, and jujube, and today’s samgyetang is Dongnae Samgyetang.

When you order samgyetang at the table, side dishes for the taste of samgyetang, such as ginseng wine, geotjeori kimchi, kkakdugi, dungjip, and noodles, are served on the table. While drinking a cup of ginseng wine, a boiling ginseng chicken soup comes out in an earthen pot. Samgyetang on the table was white and dark at a glance, but when I tasted it with a spoonful of soup, it was delicious and tasty, so it was good to eat it without adding salt or pepper.

If you crush a young Gye in the white soup into a ladle and mix it well with the broth, it becomes samgyetang like chicken soup.^^

Why don’t you eat delicious samgyetang while feeling the atmosphere of Busan in Dongnae, which has the old history of Busan?
