Oedo Botania

Oedo Island, which is about 30 minutes away by cruise ship from Geoje Island, Gyeongsangnam-do, is a marine arboretum that opened in 1995. On the 48,000-pyeong site, there are 3,000 kinds of flowers and trees, including natural camellia forests, subtropical plants such as cactus and palm trees, and unique sculptures, elegant buildings, and various trees harmonize, so you can walk around the island for about 50 minutes along a well-maintained walking course.

And the last scene of the KBS drama “Winter Sonata,” starring Bae Yong-joon, is filmed here, and many Bae Yong-joon fans visit, and you can see the vast sea from the island observatory, especially the beautiful Geoje Haegeumgang River on a deserted island floating in the sea.

From Geoje Island to Oedo Island, cruise ships departing from dockyards such as Jangseungpo, Gujora, and Haegeumgang are used, and the round trip ferry service to Oedo Island takes 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes, and the total time to Oedo Island tourism takes depending on the departure place.
