Jangsaengpo, where whaling was popular, has a whale museum and a whale festival.
Ulsan, which has been transformed from a whaling city to an industrial city, opened on November 1, 2010, the second phase of the KTX (Korea Gyeongbu High-Speed Railroad) linking Busan and Dongdaegu, making it a convenient place for businessmen in Ulsan who frequently travel to Seoul and tourists who come to enjoy the natural scenery of Ulsan. Busan’s accessibility has improved.
KTX trains bound for Seoul departing from Busan and passing through Ulsan are currently running every 10 to 20 minutes. Most of the 2nd stage KTX sections between Busan City and Dongdaegu, which opened this time, pass through tunnels, but I was surprised at the speed because it takes 19 minutes to Ulsan Station and 27 minutes to Singyeongju Station.
