Eight historical relics related to Baekje distributed in Gongju City, Buyeo-gun, and Iksan City, Jeollabuk-do, were registered as Korea’s 12th world cultural heritage in 2015 in recognition of Baekje’s unique culture, religion, and art beauty through the layout of capital, Buddhist temples, tombs, and stone pagodas.

Gongju (Woongjin period), Buyeo (Sabi period), and Iksan were historic sites where Baekje’s royal roads or royal castles were located during the Three Kingdoms Period, and these three archaeological sites and buildings played a major role in the development of Baekje’s architecture and spread of Buddhism.
