Pohang City is a port city on the east coast of Gyeongsangbuk-do.

Pohang City was originally a small fishing port, but it has developed into Korea’s best industrial city since POSCO (Pohang Steel Mill) was born in the early 1970s. The largest POSCO (Pohang Steel Mill) in the East and Pohang University of Science and Technology are located, and steel-related imports and exports are made a lot of steel-related imports and exports are made.

For transportation, there is Pohang Station through which the Korea Express Railway (KTX) passes, and there are Pohang Express Bus Terminal departing for Seoul and Pohang Intercity Bus Terminal traveling to Busan and Daegu.
