Hwangnam Ppang

Hello, there is Hwangnam Bread, a specialty of Gyeongju, near the ancient tomb park in Gyeongju, one of Korea’s representative tourist destinations. In 1939, Yeonghwa Choi from Gyeongju started making Hwangnam Bread in Hwangnam-dong, Gyeongju-si. In 1974, extensive excavation of Daereungwon began and it was moved to the present Hwango-dong area. Three generations have passed on the taste of Hwangnam Bread.

Hwangnambbang is an oven-baked bread filled with domestic red beans, and freshly baked Hwangnambbang is famous for its crispy skin and not very sweet red beans. Hwangnambbang, designated as Gyeongsangbuk-do’s second luxury brand, has only direct stores at Gyeongju Station, Dongdaegu Station, and Daegu Station, so it is a popular restaurant that is always crowded with tourists on weekends and has to wait for more than an hour to purchase.

And the expiration date of Hwangnam bread is said to be 4 to 5 days at room temperature, and the bread dries little by little after about 3 days, so it is recommended to eat it as soon as possible after purchasing it.
