Bunseongsan Mountain in the northeast of Gimhae-si and Baegundae Tomb in Gusan-dong, Gimhae-si, located at the foot of the southwest, are located about 100m to 500m northeast of Surowangneung Royal Tomb and overlooking downtown Gimhae.
Currently, this ancient tomb group is divided into two areas, and there are two ancient tombs (A Ancient Tomb), which are close to the Royal Tomb of King Suro, and they are located in 63 and 64 Gusan-dong, Gimhae-si. Ancient Tombs (B Ancient Tombs), far from the Tomb of King Suro, are located on the hill (behind Gimhae Girls’ High School now) at 81-2 Gusan-dong, Gimhae-si, and only one remains.
Tombs A and B are cross-blooded stone chamber tombs with broken stones, and the directions of the long axis of the stone chamber are all in the north-south direction, and the entrance is made to the south. Through this, the Gusan-dong Ancient Tombs are presumed to be the ancient tombs made up of a cross-blooded stone chamber tomb. Currently, only three tombs have been identified, but Wonrae estimates that there were more tombs.
And this ancient tomb, believed to have been built in the late 6th century, is believed to have been built after the Gimhae was absorbed into Silla’s sphere of influence.
Gimhae-si, which was once called Garakguk, Gaya, and Geumgwan Gaya, was the capital of Gaya from King Suro to King Gugu surrendered to Silla, and was the center of culture in the southern part of ancient society.
