Sebyeonggwan

Sebyeonggwan

Sebyeonggwan was built in the 36th year of King Seonjo’s reign (1603) to commemorate the achievements of Admiral Yi Sun-shin (1545-1598). After that, the main building of Hansando Island was moved here and used as the central building of the 3rd provincial naval control camp, but now only Sebyunggwan, the guest house of the time, remains. Along with Gyeongbokgung Palace Gyeonghoeru Pavilion and Yeosu Jinnamgwan, it is the largest wooden building in Korea.
