The roof of the BTS concert hall was damaged again by Typhoon Hinamnor, which hit Busan.

The roof of the Busan Asian Main Stadium, which is used as a kindergarten concert hall for the 2030 Busan World Expo in BTS, was torn again by Typhoon Hinamnor. Unlike the nine roof membranes that have already been torn and have holes, the damage is not severe enough to replace the entire roof membrane.

Pools were created everywhere due to Typhoon Hinamnor at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium in Geoje-dong (World Cup Boulevard) in Youngjae-gu, Busan, at around 12 p.m. on the 6th.

On the previous day, the workplace removed facilities that were at risk of blowing in the wind in preparation for strong winds, so there was no significant damage to the grassy playgrounds or trucks.

However, the roof membrane installed right behind the electronic display showed signs of tearing of about 20cm to the side. This seems to be due to the impact of Typhoon Hinamnor hitting the maximum wind speed of 16.8㎧ early in the day.

An official at the workplace said, "The damage is light, so we don't think we need to replace the entire roof membrane," adding, "We will proceed with the repair work after the Chuseok holiday."

Nine roof membranes were torn during Typhoon Maisak in 2020, but repair work has not yet been carried out. The renovation work is expected to begin as early as April next year, so the BTS performance scheduled for October 15th has no choice but to proceed as it is.

The concert hall for the 2030 Busan Expo was originally planned to be held at the site of the former Korea Glass Busan plant in Ilgwang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, but the venue was recently changed to the Busan Asiad Main Stadium due to concerns over safety accidents.

However, if the main stadium of the Busan Asiad, which has holes in the BTS concert hall broadcasted around the world, is seen, there is a concern that it will give a bad image of Busan to BTS fans around the world who visited Busan.

The Busan Asiad Main Stadium has 330,000㎡ of land and 1 basement floor to 4 ground floors. The total number of seats, including 252 for the disabled, is 53,000 and the maximum capacity is 80,000 people. There are 72 entrances.
