Nakdonggang Estuary Eco Center

There is a migratory bird destination at the mouth of the Nakdonggang River, designated as Natural Monument No. 179, at the mouth of the Nakdonggang River, which meets the longest Nakdonggang River in Korea and the southern sea west of Busan.

The mouth of the Nakdonggang River, which originated from Hwangjiyeonji Pond in Hambaeksan Mountain, Taebaek-si, Gangwon-do, and ran vigorously for 525km in length, has a large and small delta rich in reed fields. In addition, various creatures inhabit the brackish water zone where freshwater and seawater harmonize, and have long been known as a resting place for migratory birds.

In winter, you can see a variety of migratory birds flying in the sky in groups and diving straight into the water to hunt for food.
