National Museum of Korea

It is Korea’s largest national museum located in Yongsan, Seoul!

The National Museum of Korea is divided into East Building West Building.

Located in Yongsan, Seoul, the National Museum of Korea is a world-class museum representing Korea with a length of 404 meters, a height of 43.08 meters, one basement floor, and six floors above the ground.

The National Museum of Korea, which houses 300,000 artifacts (as of January 2012), displays a total of 12,000 artifacts in six permanent exhibition halls (prehistoric, ancient, medium and modern, donation, calligraphy, Asian, sculpture and crafts). The permanent exhibition hall consisting of three floors is free of charge.

In addition, there are overseas relics exhibitions, special exhibition rooms (paid), children’s museums, and outdoor exhibition halls with various themes.

The National Museum of Korea is divided into East and West. A museum and a special exhibition hall for children are located in the library, and the main building with six permanent exhibition halls is located in the building. It was relocated to a local location in October 2005.
