The opening of all pedestrian overpasses at Osiria Tourist Complex in Busan

Busan Metropolitan Government announced on the 26th that it has completed the construction of a pedestrian overpass connecting Osiria Station on the Donghae Line in Osiria Tourist Complex to the theme park and the Busan National Science Center.

The pedestrian overpass has a width of 6.5 to 10 meters and a total length of 121 meters, and includes three elevators for the transportation disadvantaged.

The 63.6-meter section of the first phase, which crosses the nine-lane Dongbusan Tourist Road, was opened first in August last year.

The Busan Urban Corporation began construction of the 57.7-meter section of the second phase, which connects the Osiria Station platform to the pedestrian overpass, in November last year after several consultations with the National Railroad Corporation since 2020, and completed it this month.

However, the station's automated fare collection system has not yet been installed in the section directly connected to the platform, which is expected to cause inconvenience to users.

The city corporation said, "As the pedestrian overpass was installed in the section adjacent to the railroad track, there were difficulties in promoting the project due to various issues such as safety management, but we were able to see the fruits of amicable cooperation with related organizations." "The station automation equipment will be installed in the first half of next year in the area directly connected to the platform."
