Summer Korea Grand Sale Opens on the 10th

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with the Visit Korea Committee, will hold the Korea Grand Sale Summer Event, a shopping culture and tourism festival for foreigners, from the 10th to the 31st.

"Korea Grand Sale" is a shopping culture and tourism festival in which private companies from all walks of life, including aviation, accommodation, shopping, and entertainment, participate to promote foreign tourists' visits and increase tourism income during the off-season. This year, in conjunction with "Soul Festa 2022," a special summer event was organized to raise tourists' interest.

First of all, Incheon International Airport and Korea Airports Corporation will hold a welcoming event for foreigners visiting Korea starting at Incheon International Airport and entering Gimpo Airport and Gimhae Airport on the 10th to announce the start of the Korea Grand Sale.

In particular, it is expected that the three Asian countries and regions (Japan, Taiwan, and Macau), which have been suspended since COVID-19 for a month in August, will temporarily resume entry without a certificate, which will have a synergistic effect.

The highlight is an exceptional shopping benefit for foreigners. Seven airlines, including Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, and Jeju Air, offer up to 92 percent discounts on overseas flights to Korea. Hotel Lotte and Shilla Stay have prepared a comprehensive accommodation ticket exclusively for Korea Grand Sale, including discounts of up to 72% for long-term accommodation and free room ratings. It also offers discounts exclusively for Korea Grand Sale through a global accommodation platform.

In addition, Lotte Duty Free and others will pay shopping subsidies and instant discount coupons for each purchase amount. Olive Young's major stores across the country offer exclusive tickets for the Korea Grand Sale, where you can get on-site discounts for each purchase amount. Gangwon, Busan, and Jeju, representative summer tourist destinations, including the Myeong-dong Special Tourist Zone in Seoul, offer discounts on major restaurants, discounts on direct train tickets for airport railways, and preferential exchange.
