Busan News

Seven Busan beaches will open on the 1st of next month.

Starting with Haeundae Beach on the 1st of next month, seven beaches in Busan will open in earnest. The Busan Metropolitan Government expects the number of visitors to the beach to increase significantly due to the lifting of social distancing measures last month.

Following the opening of Haeundae and Songjeong beaches on June 1, seven beaches, including Songdo, Gwangalli, Dadaepo, Ilgwang and Imrang, will open simultaneously on July 1.

The Busan Metropolitan Government plans to operate a variety of programs by creating a themed beach that utilizes the characteristics of the beach and surrounding tourism resources. Marine healing programs such as yoga are operated in major beaches such as Haeundae, and events such as the "Gwangan M Drone Light Show" are held every Saturday in Gwangalli Beach. In addition, support for various experience events such as surfing and paragliding is expected.
