E-Mart 24 Launches 'Seongju Oriental Melon and Busan Seed Hotteok' Ice Cream

E-Mart 24, a convenience store run by Shinsegae Group, will showcase its own brand of ice cream using Korean specialties.

From the 19th, E-Mart 24 will sell "Seongju Korean melon cone" made of melon, the representative agricultural product of Seongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and ‘Busan Seed Hotteok Corn (2,000 won),’ which is an ice cream made of seed hotteok, a representative snack in Busan.

Seongju melon is a representative specialty of Seongju-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, which accounts for more than 70% of the nation's melon production, and is characterized by crunchy and high sugar content growing in fertile soil along the coast of Gayasan Mountain and Nakdonggang River.

Busan Seed Hotteok is a representative tourist specialty of the Busan market, and it is filled with sweet syrup, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and nuts in chewy hotteok, adding a sweet and savory texture.

With the launch of two local specialty ice creams, E-Mart 24 plans to actively target various customers' tastes in summer as it has high public familiarity by incorporating highly recognized local foods nationwide into ice creams that can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of generation.
