Dongbaek Taxi in Busan is settling early.

In connection with Dongbaekjeon, a local currency in Busan, the public-calling taxi "Dongbaek Taxi," which began operation in December last year, is rapidly becoming established.

According to the Busan Metropolitan Government and KonaI, the operator of Dongbaek Taxi on the 24th, about 21,000 taxis, or 87.5% of the total taxis in Busan, have joined the Dongbaek Taxi platform.

13,500 private taxis have joined, and 7,500 corporate taxis have also joined.

The number of subscribers to the Dongbaek Taxi application is close to 550,000.

As a result, the average number of camellia taxi calls per day reached 20,000 and 12,000 of them, or about 60%, were allocated, and it was analyzed that they were actually used.

Unlike private taxi calling platforms, Dongbaek Taxi does not receive call fees and membership fees.

Payment fees were also 0.5 percentage points lower than private platforms, and the number of taxi subscribers exploded in a short period of time.

In addition, when users pay with Dongbaekjeon, 10% of the amount used was returned as cashback, which became popular.

However, the growth is expected to slow down somewhat as the Busan Metropolitan Government is considering reducing the monthly charging limit of Dongbaekjeon from 500,000 won to 300,000 won and lowering the cashback ratio to 5%.

Accordingly, the city and the operator are pushing to improve the system, including navigation guidance, in order to increase the convenience of taxi calling and dispatching.
