Panstar's first luxury cruise ferry service

Panstar Group will build a luxury cruise ferry that operates international routes for the first time as a Korean national ship.

Panstar Line.com and Daesun Shipbuilding signed a contract to build a cruise-class international passenger ship at the Fan Star Group building in Jungang-dong, Busan, on the afternoon of the 11th.

The size of the cruise ferry ordered by Panstar Group is 22,000 tons, 170 meters long, and 399 passengers (353 passengers and 46 sailors). It can also load 250 container cargoes (20 feet) on the underside of the vessel.

In late 2024, it will be delivered to Panstar Line.com to have safety and various high-end convenience facilities suitable for cruise ships called hotels on the sea.

For the first time in Korea, it will introduce an eco-friendly hybrid promotion method that significantly reduces fuel consumption and emissions by adding electric motor and generator functions to diesel engines. By adopting a linear shape that dramatically improves noise and vibration, pin stabilizers that minimize the shaking of the hull even in waves are installed on both sides of the hull.

The open-air deck will have an outdoor swimming pool, jogging track, and banquet space. Balconies are installed in all cabin rooms, allowing passengers to enjoy the sea scenery while enjoying coffee and tea while they open the living room door.

The main lobby, reminiscent of a luxury hotel, has a hemispherical dome ceiling to maximize openness and enjoy the night sky scenery in the lobby. Various on-board amenities such as massage rooms, therapy rooms, saunas, fitness, ship pocha, sushi bars, and cafes add to the joy of travel.

Panstar plans to deploy new ships to Busan-Osaka Cruise and Busan Port One Night Cruise starting in 2025.
